oooohhh!
Ireland you look wonderful :) Size2shoes gigs going very well around the country, radio slots here and there making sure that the world are being gradually introduced to the Whack-For-The-Daddi-o size2shoes bros. We are excited about our upcoming gig in Limerick @ The Shannon Rowing Club on Sarsfield bridge this saturday (21st Nov). If we can make it there, well make it…..ANYWHERE….(you know the song)

We did a gig in Siamsa Tire in Tralee which was great, Size2shoes graced the National Folk Theatre of Ireland with great aplomb, thanks for the invite! We launched a kids book in Dublin which was class, big shout out to the Veritas girls and Mount Carmel secondary kids. Also the Pavilion in Cork gig on friday 27th of November is gonna be epic so book now!
Big up yourself.

The affliction of Moley

The affliction of Moley

Howya!
We have been picking up chatter among the media, our sources have been noticing that corollaries are being made between Brother band Size2shoes and the latest X-Factor pop sensation John & Edward. Our research indicates that this may be as a result of Moley’s ill fated Limerick X-Factor attempt several weeks ago, just before the ‘Jedward’ sensation. Moley was eliminated from the 1st round of Limerick X-Factor and is still pretty emotionally sensitive about the experience, get well soon Moley.

The links between ‘Jedward’ and Size2shoes are meatier than one would think at first glance. Their dad is from Limerick apparently! Jedward, also like Eoin & Moley, are into good old fashioned entertainment. Do you think that a collaboration with “Size2shoes feat. Jedward” is a good idea? Let us know, we are floating the idea to a number of PR companies worldwide, maybe we could emalgamate to make the greatest boyband that Limerick has ever produced! Watch this space :)

Eoin, Nóirín & Mícheal @ book launch

Eoin, Nóirín & Mícheal @ book launch

Hey shoes fans!

Whassapenin? So much goin on in the s2s world of wonder… We sang in Galway as part of Julie Feeney’s band – we were the backing singers! Class tunes, check her out! Dr. Nóirín Ní Riain (our mom!) launched her book in Dublin 10 days ago! She is some legend, Size2shoes played a tune at the launch and wrote a short rap extolling her, and the books, virtues! It was dope and it rocked the house – in fact as a direct result the books publishers (Veritas) asked us to launch a kids book in Dublin in November! I think they must think that we are wacky dudes, but roll on kids book launch! Will let ya know details soon.

Of course the next big thing for Size2shoes is a series of gigs round Ireland in November starting in Dublin on November 6th @ The Sugar Club! Special guests the inimitable Julie Feeney and the legendary Paddy Maloney (The Chieftains). See the gigs page for a full list of the gigs! Moley entered a local X-Factor comp last week and got knocked out in the first round! Bummer…

We got reviewed in Hot Press this month also (the issue with Glen Hansard on the front) and it was a good review, the guy who reviewed it said that the album was ‘so peachy keen and full of good advice that it makes me crave for paranoid schiziphrenic drug addicts with scar tissue and battered four track recorders’ – wowsers, looks like the s2s debut album is really converting the cool kids :) !

How are you? Tell us! :)
Feel free to use the size2shoes.com website as an agony aunt/emotional advice service…we are here for you… :)

George Bernard Shaw Theatre Carlow

George Bernard Shaw Theatre

Hey you,

we’re just in the door from our gig with Julie Feeney in Galway. It was a roller-coaster of a day; so much fun. We had a mammoth rehearsal with her and the Contempo String Quartet, then ran on stage to do the support slot, then ran back stage for a quick costume change, then on to do backing vocals for Julie’s gig. For those of you who don’t know who she is, and for those of you who do, check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI1TGrkNUmg

One of the best Irish music videos I’ve ever seen.

And at Size2shoes we were saying that we’ve never seen a list of the top ten best Irish music videos…

Off to take over the world or Carlow tomorrow. We’re on KCLR (sp?) Radio tomorrow at 11.45, and then on Saturday opening up for the Hothouse Flowers. Then we’re thinking of checking out these crazy Indians in Dublin on Sunday; check this out!

nice!

And, for those of you still reading, you can check out two new clips that we’ve just put up on youtube at youtube.com/size2shoesofficial – tell us what you think! :D

We haven’t sent this round to our full mailing list yet; waiting till the time’s right, so let us know what you bloggers think before we release it on the masses :)

You’re all Impossibly Beautiful!

size2shoes Crawdaddy ticket from Ticketmaster

Click to see our sexy ticket :)

Hey y’all,
Big shout out to all who came along to our Size2shoes Single Launching Extravaganza on Wednesday night! The good people at the POD presented us at their reputable Crawdaddy establishment. We even had our first ever ticket that was available through Ticketmaster! Big news here at S2S HQ!

There was a bunch of hip Teddy Bears there who had seen us for the first time at Electric Picnic – big shout out! Another couple of heads had seen us support Julie Feeney in the same venue a couple of months ago and came along to check out the full show.

So, next week sees us doing a couple of really sweet support gigs. Thursday the 24th supporting Julie Feeney at the Town Hall in Galway. Then on the Saturday the 26th we’re opening for the Hot House Flowers at the opening of their new Behemoth – the VISUAL Arts Centre – this is a MASSIVE contemporary arts centre with a 400 seater theatre.

Trying to think of some juicy gossip to release, but can’t think of anything that would be appropriate. There was this one time when Moley… ah…

Oh and one more thing… if you do hear our single on the radio, text the station and tell them that it’s the best thing you’ve heard since Man in the Mirror! It’s called Sittin’ by the Sea.

Peace
s2s
