Hey y’all,
Big shout out to all who came along to our Size2shoes Single Launching Extravaganza on Wednesday night! The good people at the POD presented us at their reputable Crawdaddy establishment. We even had our first ever ticket that was available through Ticketmaster! Big news here at S2S HQ!
There was a bunch of hip Teddy Bears there who had seen us for the first time at Electric Picnic – big shout out! Another couple of heads had seen us support Julie Feeney in the same venue a couple of months ago and came along to check out the full show.
So, next week sees us doing a couple of really sweet support gigs. Thursday the 24th supporting Julie Feeney at the Town Hall in Galway. Then on the Saturday the 26th we’re opening for the Hot House Flowers at the opening of their new Behemoth – the VISUAL Arts Centre – this is a MASSIVE contemporary arts centre with a 400 seater theatre.
Trying to think of some juicy gossip to release, but can’t think of anything that would be appropriate. There was this one time when Moley… ah…
Oh and one more thing… if you do hear our single on the radio, text the station and tell them that it’s the best thing you’ve heard since Man in the Mirror! It’s called Sittin’ by the Sea.
Peace

Big shout out to all who came along to check out S2S at the Bandstand, Village Green at Electric Picnic. We really love the support, and judging by the smiles on faces, Size2 fans were left happy little bunnies.
We’d a great day out though, and now we have offically firmly stepped on the first rung of the Electric Picinic ladder; the only way is up.
I’ve just now heard that the Village Green area can be more accuralty described as the Village Brown. The picinic really was a mud fest. Was pleasantly surprised to discover how effecitve a pile of saw dust can be in soaking up mud.
Monday night sees us performing as second headline act at the UCD Freshers’ Ball. For those of you reading from outside of the Republic, Univeristy College Dublin is Ireland’s largest Uni, and a Fresher is a first year student. Will let you know how that goes, but an interesting S2S fact is that last Sunday we got to play for the President of UCC at this classy new venue in Ballymalloe; he came up to us after to profess his Size2shoes conversion; lets see now if we can convert those heathen students. We’ll keep you posted.
Then an interesting kids’ gig for the Killkenny “City” (thank you very much) library, which we’ll have a great time doing. The title of the show we came up with was “Size2shoes Loves Books!”
And, check this out for random… http://www.californiachronicle.com/articles/yb/134912746
looks like we can’t open our mouth round these parts without the whole of California getting in on the act. We’ll be opening up for the Hot House Flowers for that night, which will be a bit of a dream come true :”There’s a BLACK CAT”
Stay cool y’all,

Size2shoes’ first single is now on the MySpace page, can you guess which song it is?

Whassapenin,
Size2shoes were in Ballymaloe for the weekend playin a gig at the newly opened theatre there called The Grainstore. It was a magic weekend as size2 regailed guests in the drawing room of the country house hotel on saturday night with the man o the house Rory Allen. Rory is a savage enteretainer and a store of a huge amount of songs and stories, great craic indeed. We played a gig Sunday night for the public and we were extremely well recieved! What a magic place Ballymaloe is, get there if you can.
Size2shoes will appear at Electric Picnic 2009 on Saturday 5th September, 2pm @ ‘The Bandstand’ in the Body & Soul area of the festival, get out of your tent and get there, would be great to see ya:) We are really lookin forward to it, will let you know how it goes – Size2shoes play the UCD Freshers ball too just before Fight Like Apes take to the stage, which should be pretty rock n roll!
Be Cool,
